2. Hyundai 🇰🇷 warned US 🇺🇲 dealers it may raise prices due to upcoming 25% auto tariffs. Analysts estimate tariffs could add $3,000 to US-made cars and $6,000 to imports.

3. LG Energy Solution 🇰🇷 announced its US unit will buy GM's Michigan 🇺🇲 EV battery venture assets for up to $2 billion.

4. Tesla 🇺🇲 announced it delivered 336,681 vehicles in Q1, lower than the 377,000 estimate. Production totaled 362,615.

5. Rivian 🇺🇲 announced it delivered 8,640 vehicles in Q1 2025, down 36% year-over-year, matching expectations. Production totaled 14,611.

6. Lucid 🇺🇸 announced it produced 2,212 vehicles in Q1, including 600 sent to Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 for final assembly, and delivered 3,109.

7. AB Volvo 🇸🇪 said it will raise its investment in a new Mexican truck plant to $1 billion, up from $700 million, with production near Monterrey 🇲🇽 set to start in 2026.

Europe 🌍

1. The European Commission 🇪🇺 announced that automakers will get three years instead of one to meet 2025 CO2 targets.

2. Atlante 🇮🇹, Ionity 🇩🇪, Fastned 🇳🇱, and Electra 🇫🇷 announced a new alliance, Spark, to create Europe's largest EV charging network 🇪🇺 with 11,000 chargers and 1,700 stations across 25 countries, offering ultra-fast chargers up to 400 kW.

3. Dongfeng Motor 🇨🇳 and Chongqing Changan Auto 🇨🇳 are in advanced merger talks. Dongfeng is valued at $4.89 billion, Changan at $15.65 billion.

4. China's 🇨🇳 commerce ministry announced that China and the EU 🇪🇺 will restart talks on a minimum price commitment for Chinese EVs. Both sides also agreed to hold regular ministerial-level trade discussions.
